Nara is the birth place of Japanese traditional ink brush and it has 1300 years of history. You can make your own ink brush at our showroom. The experience is the process of setting the brush with glue. You can also enjoy watching craftsmen's work, talks by craftmen and shopping at our showroom.

(I hope 5 is the highest but not 1) I come here alone as I am interested in the making of brush. I painted and do calligraphy at home. The reception lady was super nice and welcoming even I speak only very little Japanese and was late. The teacher - was professional and patient - she guided me patiently through the brush making process and how to glue the brush top together. Also, you can shop for high quality stationaries in the shop. Highly recommended. Recommend to come here with a rental car as the place is not so easy to find but the experience is totally worth it.
