1, Emperor Jinmu's Mausoleum
The tomb of Emperor Jinmu is located at the northeastern foot of Mount Unebiyama and is officially called "Unebiyama Northeast Mausoleum.
According to the "Chronicles of Japan" and "Kojiki (Records of Ancient Matters)," the mausoleum is located at the northeastern foot of Mt. Emperor Jinmu, who is said to have been the first emperor, traveled eastward from the Hyuga area (present-day Miyazaki) across the Seto Inland Sea to land in Namba (present-day Osaka), but was blocked by Nagamesuhiko, a powerful family from Ikoma, so he turned southward to Kumano. There he met Yatagarasu, who led him over the steep mountains of Yoshino and into Yamato. After overcoming the surrounding forces, he finally defeated his archenemy Nagasuhiko and pacified the Yamato region.
Then, on January 1, 660 B.C., he ascended the throne at the Kashihara Palace and became the first emperor....

2, Kashihara Shrine
The Kashihara Shrine was built in 1890 at the southeast foot of Mt. Unebi, based on the account in the "Chronicles of Japan" that the first emperor, Emperor Jinmu, ascended the throne at the Kashihara Palace. The deities are Emperor Jinmu and Empress Ehime Isuzu.
The main hall and the Bunka-den (the former Oda-yakata Daishoin and entrance hall, both Important Cultural Properties) are designated Important Cultural Properties, and the main hall is a relocated version of the Kyoto Imperial Palace's inner sanctuary (kensho), which was given to the shrine by the Emperor Meiji.
The shrine's vast 530,000-square-meter area is surrounded by a forest of mainly oak trees, and the shrine pavilions and torii made of plain wood blend harmoniously with the greenery of the forest, creating a solemn atmosphere.

3, Asuka Village
Asuka Village is a small village located in the southeastern part of the Nara Basin, where the capital of Japan was located for about 100 years from the end of the 6th century to the 7th century, and is known as the place where the foundation of the Ritsuryo (law and order) state system was formed. It is known as the place where the foundation of the Ritsuryo system of government was formed and the beginning of Japan.
The village is dotted with many historical and cultural assets such as ancient tombs and historic sites, including the Ishibutai Kofun Tumulus, which has one of the largest stone chambers in Japan, the Asuka Great Buddha, the oldest in Japan, and the Kitora Kofun Mural, which is designated as a national treasure. In addition, the natural environment, including the Inabuchi terraced rice paddies, selected as one of the 100 best terraced rice paddies in Japan, and the five national Asuka Historical Parks, together with the historical and cultural heritage, form a beautiful landscape.

4, Fujiwara-kyo
Fujiwarakyo was the first full-scale capital in Japan, built approximately 1,300 years ago on the model of the Chinese capital. Fujiwara-kyo was very large, measuring approximately 4.8 kilometers from north to south and 5.2 kilometers from east to west, and the Fujiwara-no-Miya Palace, the seat of government and residence of the emperor, was located almost in the center of the Kyoto area. The palace's location in the center of the capital is a characteristic of Fujiwara-kyo that distinguishes it from other capital cities.
