Nara Gastronomy Night Expo 2024 with The MICHELIN Guide

We cannot wait to welcome you to the first large-scale nighttime event in Nara Prefecture, the Nara Gastronomy Night Expo 2024 with The MICHELIN Guide! This special event will take place over nine days at the Nara Noborioji Park and it will feature chefs from The Michelin Guide-listed restaurants in Nara, local producers, and traditional craftsmen.
Focusing on Japanese cuisine and valorizing Nara's top ingredients, this special night event offers a sensory experience centered around the theme of “deliciousness.” Attendees can enjoy culinary delights and also cultural elements, such as regional traditional crafts.

MICHELIN Guide Live cooking
Chefs from The Michelin Guide-listed restaurants in Nara will offer special menus featuring local ingredients. There will also be a CULINARY POPUP (live cooking) where chefs will explain the ingredients and the cooking methods used.

NARA FOOD AREA
Popular dining establishments from the prefecture will gather to provide high-quality street food options. Enjoy a diverse range of menus from Japanese, Western, and Chinese cuisines in this unique high-class food stall area.

JAPAN CRAFT AREA
Experience Nara’s traditional crafts through the sale and workshops of iconic Japanese artisan products, including tea whisks, Akahada pottery, Nara fans, and Japanese katana. One of the highlights is the opportunity to interact directly with the producers.

PREMIUM FOOD AREA
Highly popular ramen shops and Japan’s world-renowned specialty like sake, will come together for a remarkable showcase. This event will feature limited-time, themed experiences, promising a day packed with the very best of Nara’s cuisine!
